Cover of the Rolling Stone
While cleaning out some dusty boxes in my garage recently, I came upon one of my favorite collections.

I started this collection when receiving a subscription for my 16th birthday. (Thanks to my rocker brother, he wanted his sister to be cool)
Every month I would pace the mailbox waiting to see what singer/group/superstar would be on the cover. I have kept my subscription on and off since that first issue arrived. I suppose I’m an old hipster and am thinking of framing some covers for my walls.

Love Rolling Stone. though now it takes me about 3 tries to get through a Matt Taibbi article – too painful for one sitting.
I would just like to know why every so often they put people on the cover that just shouldn’t be there at all…
I know what you mean about some of the “questionable” covers.. It used to be an honor to be chosen but seems the past decade they just pick the flavor-of-the-month..
You got to frame Jack and Johnny. You won’t find two more unique individuals and they deserve some wall space. Great covers, all. Rolling Stone at one time had some really great writers doing some great writing. Now, not so much. All things change, I guess. Enjoy reliving the past this morning and then get writing! HF
Yes El Guapo & I said the same thing as how do some of the folks make the covers.. Used to be an Honor to be featured.. now, not so much I think..

What a cool collection to have! And cool to frame, too. Is there any way you can frame them but leave the magazines intact? Just wondering. ~ Lily
I think If I pick maybe four and get some deeper frames I can leave them intact as they are not too thick..

Jack Nicholson really is a total **** (my asterisks) but he has done some great stuff, so he would be one of my fave covers in an artistic sense only. And as Clown said DB, wow!! Wish he didn’t have the fag in his mouth though.
I just wish they(RS) would go back to featuring iconic singers and such.. Now if you merely “press-popular” you get a cover.. I don’t dig that so much..
