My work company is green. Very green.
Here in this Blog-O-Sphere not many people show where they work. If you are curious like me, we want to see these things. So I’ll be the icebreaker and share my work place with you.
I work for Corporate America. Yes, that means being housed in a concrete castle from morning till dusk.
However, I am one of the fortunate ones that works for a company that cares about their employees and provides us with numerous things to help us keep our sanity.
We have beautiful gardens and greenery within our office park. We are the lucky ones, no doubt.
As soon as one enters the parking lot you are greeted with lovely flowers:

Even our lobby is beautiful with nature visible from both sides:

When break time beckons, no better way to de-stress than with a stroll though these grounds:

Trees, trees everywhere laden with Spanish Moss:

The beauty is everywhere out here (I work up there, 4th floor):

Even the “Smokin’ Pit” is surrounded by nature:

The parking lot has lovely trees to shade your car:

I would also like to add that we are a Green Company inside as well. No Styrofoam coffee cups (they give us awesome mugs), plastic recycle bins are everywhere, extra paper is shredded weekly and we do alot of volunteering for Eco-Restoration company wide.
Who knew that an Information Technology (world’s 3rd largest I might add) corporation was so green.

You could almost inspire me to want to go to work. Almost.
Ha.. if only more businesses would embrace this work style they would have a happier set of employees..
Very cool that you work in that kind of environment!
I am very lucky..
Oh, Lovely! You are working in a greenhouse. Except, it is on the outside. Does that make sense? Never mind.
My old job did not offer ANY of these things and I hated being stuck indoors for 9 hours with the only green thing being my salad in the fridge. Thank gee your company cares about the employees and knows that nature is vital to fostering a happy-hearted worker !
Kind of ironic that the smoke pit has green by it….
Come on and work with me.. we always have an extra desk…
The smoke pit has been moved to the end of the sidewalk…among one of the prettiest trees. go figure!!
Lynne,
Now if you could move your offices outside….
Le Clown
I shall put a note in the suggestion box and sign it “Le Clown”
Looks like a beautiful place to stroll, at lunchtime or on break.
Hope you are having a happy work week, Lynne! ~ Lily
It is quite lovely indeed.. I know how fortunate I am
You work on the top floor, don’t you! I knew you did. Yes, everything is rosie from on high. Come visit the cellar dwellers some time and discover the real world. Laughing and enjoying. HF
Hah.. want to know the truth..the “big wigs” work on the 1-3rd floors..Less elevator time and all..LOL
Have a wonderful day my friend!
And you as well! HF
Damn, that looks like a hella of a place to take breaks and post-lunch siestas.
Trust me, I have taken many a nap on my lunch break.. we have these awesome wooden benches.
zzzzzzzzzzzzz!
I’m loving the atmosphere..Nice!
..Woke up to winter today. *sigh*
Brrr….Have faith it shall be spring soon..
It really is quite a lovely place to work..
I couldn’t guarantee I would return after taking a stroll at lunch..much too tempting to stay outside. You are very fortunate to “work” at such a employee/environment friendly place.
Trust me, some days it is soooo hard to go back inside and actually work:-)
I am lucky:-)
