Daily Prompt: Through the window

It’s early morning and looking out my window there is a blanket of fog. I see how quiet and peaceful the landscape looks and realize this is our day before the noise.
There is no hatred, poverty, war, sickness, unemployment, selfishness, death, birth, joy, sorrow, betrayal, forgiveness. There is only this moment in time, shrouded in white before the noise.
The quietude of this scene reminds me that in all things there can always be something wonderful before the noise of our days begin.
Footnote: This is merely a quick 3 minute write in response to the Daily Prompt.

Beautiful words and image!
thank you so kindly Karen!!
beautiful…
thank you very much!!
You and a guy named Lemen Andersen are changing my mind about poetry!
Hah.. I am converting you, eh?
Beautiful, Lynne and true. That pic of the palm tree makes me homesick for Charleston, SC a little bit. Although we live near a beach, there’s no palm trees way up here on the East Coast. There’s something about that southern, humid kind of bluesy thing I really miss from time to time.
I too love the palm trees.. something very soothing about them especially when the wind blows through them.
Thank you Brigitte!!

You say more in 3 minutes than most people do in 3 hours. Nice imagery. You can feel the quiet surrounding you like the fog.
Thanks Gregory.. just some words that came to mind as I looked out at the foggy new day !!
I love the quietude (your word) of the early morning. Well said, especially in three minutes!

Early is my favorite time of day. Solitude and quiet and newness and stillness. This is beautiful, Lynne!
My apologies for just seeing this lovely comment.. Yes, I am definitely an early bird too.. Old habit I think from when the kids were small and I wanted some quiet time before they woke
